1. The DVD player is not mandatory. If you choose not to purchase the DVD player, the original CD player will be non-functional, but you may keep it for aesthetic purposes.
2. Our product is suitable for use with both left-hand and right-hand drive versions of the MINI Cooper.
3. This product is compatible with the BMW audio system models S674/S676. If your car is equipped with S677/S688/S6F2 or a BimmerTech Fiber Optics amplifier audio system, there will be no audio output after installing our product. Please do not purchase this product if you are unsure of your car's audio system. Instead, send the VIN and a dashboard photo of your car to info@carnaviplayer.com for verification.
4. The software for cars with and without steering wheel controls differs. If your car has steering wheel controls, please inform us so we can install the appropriate software before shipping.
5. The speed unit on the screen supports km/h(KPH) and miles/h(MPH) when you press the right "MPH" button.
6. This product is compatible with the MINI BOOST radio and navigation systems.
7. If the car has a black CD, as shown in the left photo below, this product fits it well. You do not need to modify the frame.
If the car has a silver CD, as shown in the right photo below, you must trim the existing frame to match our DVD unit. But you do not need to trim the edge if you do not select the "DVD Player" option.
Or replace it with a genuine cover center console. The MFG part number is 51169206835 or 51169206836. You can buy a used one from eBay or your local BMW/MINI dealer.

I had a few queries before i purchased and they were answered very promptly, once i ordered the system, itarrived much quicker than expected, given it was being shipped to the UK. There weren?t any instructions, or diagrams included, but again queries were answered immediately and a photo of the unit interconnections was attached. The quality of the unit is very good, and the system looks great in the car. It connects seamlessly to phone wi-fi hotspot, allowing for any additional android auto apps to be dowloaded and installed, direct to the unit. I chose wired apple carplay, since i have the phone on charge in the car anyway, to use as sat nav, and that displays perfectly on the large clear screen. Although it did come without drawings or instructions, queries were answered, and technical support provided, very quickly, i would have no hesitation buying from them again

Fast shipping with Tracking all the way. One you figure out how to take the dashboard apart, installation is pretty straight forward. All questions on excess wiring harness and needed connections answered promptly. Have not played with it yet, so still learning how to operate it, but basic functions are easy enough. They must have fixed the MPH display feature as mine displays MPH. It flips to kph while setting cruise, but then back to MPH, bonus!

I wanted to say your service has been excellent. From the first email asking for the dash pictures all the way through to helping with the issues that came up you have been extremely helpful. I was worried about buying from a smaller company, but honestly I do not expect I would have got the same level of support from Kenwood or Pioneer as I have from you.

We were finally able to have the stereo installed into our 2014 Mini Cooper Countryman. Our installer stated the unit installation was relatively plug and play and the unit is high quality. The installer requested we provide them with your web site for future orders, which we gladly did. Over all we are very please with equipment and the customer service you have provided.

Ordered for an R60 countryman. Arrived to the US much quicker than expected. Took a few hours to install but more to do with the complexity of removing all the trim pieces required to access the radio. The instructions provided were for a regular mini, not a countryman but was able to find other removal tutorials online. Installation was straightforward, just longer than imagined. Had a couple questions regarding the connections, the seller answered promptly back with helpful answers. Had quite a few unused connectors from both the car originally and the unit, but none were needed, all works well. All plug and play, no splicing required.

This was a difficult install - but only because a MINI dashboard is a giant jigsaw puzzle. After getting the dash apart, it is a bit of a pain, but if you are patient and do not force things, it works out. The sound is amazing. I use the Apple CarPlay feature mostly for music. It fits into the dash perfectly.
