I purchased a 9730D for my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 w/ navigation. The reason I purchased it, the previous owner removed the premium system and replaced it.

It took about two weeks to receive it. Considering where it was coming from, that is to be expected. Also, when I ordered it, it was out of stock. The customer service team, kept me abreast of the status. Also, I had several questions about the unit before, during and after the purchase. Customer Service was very responsive.

I had a local sound shop install the unit, I would've done it, but the previous owner spliced into the wires and changed things around. I didn't want to mess with it. If you're replacing the original unit, it should be easy. It looked nice once it was installed. Initially, I wasn't pleased with the sound, because I had to by-pass the factory amplifier, due to the previous owner. After adjusting the settings to the radio, I could properly hear bass through my factory speakers. The installer mounted the magnetic the GPS antenna on the head unit itself. I wasn't sure about that, but it works great! Mounting this way, he didn't have to remove the upper bezel on the dash. I'm now trying to figure out how to upgrade the maps and get extras from iGo Navigation. I had the installer run one of the USB cables through one of the small compartments in the dash. The unit has no problem reading my USB flash drive. I will say, due to the amount of music I have on my flash drive (200+ songs), it takes about 45 seconds for the unit to start playing. Unfortunately, each time I attempt to play music from the flash drive, it take a while to load. The radio stations come in load and clear. Considering some of the stations in our area are weak. I was glad to hear them.

I've had it now for a week. So far, so good.
