Before placing the order, you need to know the following items about your car:
1. What is the current radio system on my car?
2. If your car has the MMI 3G system, you can use the original joystick and touchscreen to operate the new Android screen.
You can still use the original joystick to operate the original Audi screen. However, the touchscreen does not work with the original Audi screen.
3. Please press the MEDIA button on the radio panel and check the audio source options.
If your car has the AUX(External audio input), you don't need the AMI-AUX cord.
If your car has the AMI, you need the Audi AMI-AUX adapter cord. Please add it from the add-ons box when placing the order. Otherwise, there will be no audio after installing our product.

Is this product plug-and-play? Do I need to program or code my Audi? Do I need to buy an external GPS antenna? Can I still check the car info on the OEM screen?
Answer: Yes, it is plug-and-play. It has the same plugs and harness as the original Audi system. You do not need to program your car. All necessary accessories are included in the package. You do not need to buy anything else to make it work. You can still check the original Audi car info as before.
How do I switch the new upgrade system to the original Audi interface?
Answer: Please tap the "Original" icon on the home screen to switch to the original Audi interface.
How do I switch the original Audi interface to the new upgrade system?
Answer: Please tap the screen.
Why does it show a black screen with no signal when tapping "Original" to switch back to the original Audi interface?
Answer: Please check the CAR-LVDS port. Make sure you connect the LVDS plug (removed from the OEM screen) to the new screen.
Why is there no audio from the new upgrade system?
Answer:
1. Please press the MEDIA button on the radio panel and check the audio source options. Make sure the External Audio input(AUX) is activated.
Note that if your car has the AMI option instead of AUX, you need to plug the Audi AMI-AUX cord(this cord is sold separately) into the AMI port in the glove box on the passenger side. After plugging this cord, the AMI will change to AUX on the screen.
2. Then tap the screen to access the new upgrade system. You should be able to hear sound.
Where should I mount the main metal box? Is the original LVDS cord too short to mount in the glove box?
Please take apart the glove box on the passenger side; there is a hole that allows you to hide the metal box behind the screen. Then the LVDS cord is long enough.
Why does it not power off when I shut down the car?
Answer: Please ensure the CANBUS connector is connected behind the climate control panel, as shown below.

After a lot of frustration and wasted money, I finally had an aftermarket navigation system/rearview camera/CarPlay, and much, much more. I have a 2012 A4 (B8), and I looked and I looked but couldn't find a third party system that would give me at least a rearview camera and - ideally - a navigation system. As most of you know, the big issue with this is the car's MMI system, which essentially controls much of the cars interior operations. I eventually found carnaviplayer.com. The system is - so far - awesome! I've had it over a week, and - while there isn't seamless integration, it provides more than I'd expected I can get. I'm not going to bother listing the highlights, but I recommend that you go to the site to check it out. I'm not going to lie to you. There were some significant and expensive hurdles along the way before I got the system just right. Most of these issues came in the form of installation. I went to one car stereo installation store, and they said that they could probably install the unit, but they couldn't promise how well it would work. The store is Audio Toyz in Mission Viejo, CA. I should've hired them right there because of their honesty. Instead, I went to another retailer, West Coast Auto Sound (also in Mission Viejo) because they said they could do it in two hours for $200. I dropped the car off the next day. It took them almost seven hours to "complete" the job. When I took the delivery of the car, they handed me my keys, told me that the job was done, but they couldn't tell me how to use all of the functions. That was fine with me because I could always read the manual. It didn't work. The rearview camera did its job about 20% of the time while CarPlay didn't work at all. Also, the third party nav system wouldn't play music while the navigation system was in use. So, I had to choose to get directions or listen to music. I went to the shop the next day to talk to them about this. I walked the guy who installed it through the problems I experienced. All he said was, "It's plug-and-play. It's plug and play." Literally, other than "hello" and "goodbye," he didn't say anything else. So, I took my car to Auto Toyz. They took over 3 three hours to undo and fix what West Coast Auto Sound did, and they only charged me for two hours. The system worked beautifully! The guys there rock! They were knowledgable, professional, nice, and effective. Super-effective. I love the system! Sure, there are some less than ideal things like having to plug-in my iPhone inside the glove compartment every time I get into the car. I end-up forgetting it's in there, and I have to go outside to my car multiple times to retrieve it. Also, I have to swipe the screen twice and press an icon on the third page to get the CarPlay screen up, but this is nit-picking. At the end of the day, I love the system! From what I've seen on the market, there really isn't any other product that competes with this. Fortunately, the one that is available is a really great solution.

The unit itself is good. the instructions that were sent with the unit needs to be updated, its missing certain steps. The customer service is outstanding. emails on setup were replied within minutes..... very impressive for this company.

This unit is amazing. I'm telling you it does everything you need it to do and is perfect for my sons Audi A4 2011. All the features are as explained and easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone as its much cheaper than and Audi unit.
